Fit and use-case guide

Choose by the attachment path and the job you need to do. Specifications below are manufacturer statements, not independent TripSpec tests.

Package contents: Two single-slot brackets in the selected color. Straps and mounting screws are not included.
Compatibility: HOSS lists compatibility with its 12-inch and 24-inch straps. This does not establish compatibility with every other strap brand.
Installation limits: HOSS specifies 8 mm mounting screws. Confirm the appropriate fastener type and length for your mounting surface; no universal M8 bolt length is established by this listing.
Missing measurements: Exact bracket dimensions and an independent bracket load rating are not provided in the cited documentation. Do not apply the strap working load to the bracket or complete installation.
A fixed HOSS strap attachment point: Consider these brackets for a fixed HOSS strap attachment point on a suitable solid surface. HOSS lists boat, trailer and gear-rack uses; assess the surface and mounting hardware separately.
A single strap path: Consider the single-slot version for a single strap path using HOSS 12-inch or 24-inch straps. Check the mounting location before drilling.
A no-drill strap-only setup: These brackets are not the best fit for a no-drill strap-only setup: installation calls for screws into a suitable mounting surface. Choose a strap-only arrangement when a fixed bracket is not needed.

Before you choose

Are straps or mounting screws included?

No. The package includes two brackets only; straps and mounting screws are separate.

Which screw length and head type should I buy?

HOSS specifies 8 mm screws but does not specify a universal length or head type. Confirm suitable hardware for the bracket and mounting surface with the supplier or a qualified installer before buying mounting hardware.

What is the bracket load rating?

An independent bracket load rating is not provided in the cited documentation. Do not assume the strap working load also rates the brackets, fasteners or mounting surface.
