Will the HOSS bucket strap pack fit your five-gallon bucket?
The HOSS Basic Bucket Strap Pack supplies two 24-inch straps. It is marketed for one standard five-gallon bucket, but that capacity label is not a measurement of your fastening route. Check the actual bucket and attachment arrangement before ordering.
What you are buying
This is a strap pack, not a bucket-and-mount bundle. The bucket and mounting brackets are not included. The manufacturer listing identifies two 24-inch straps and markets brackets separately. Do not assume the phrase “bucket system” includes every part your installation needs.
Build a fit note for your own bucket
- Identify it: record the bucket’s brand and model, plus any lid, handle or accessory that changes the route.
- Identify the anchor: say where the bucket will sit and what the straps would attach to. A bucket-only measurement leaves out that part of the setup.
- Measure each route separately: use a flexible tape or cord along the actual fastening path. Two straps do not automatically form a usable 48-inch loop.
- Resolve unknowns: if the closure position or attachment method is unclear, send the measurements and photos for confirmation before buying.
As HOSS explains in its size guide, nominal strap length is not the same as finished-loop capacity. No universal bucket diameter or model compatibility follows from the pack’s name.
Bucket pack or regular 24-inch pack?
TripSpec lists standard 24-inch HOSS straps in both. Start with the Basic Bucket Strap Pack if your confirmed setup needs two straps. Compare regular 24-inch gear straps if you are buying for several jobs or want a six-pack. Use the live selectors to compare the actual quantity and color; do not assume the bucket label adds hardware.
What this guide does not establish
This is not a tested bucket-retention design or a recommendation for a filled bucket’s maximum weight. We have not validated your bucket, anchors or mounting surface. If you need fixed brackets, resolve those installation requirements separately through TripSpec support.
